Mazadxana ("we," "us," "our") operates the Mazadxana mobile application (the "App"), an online auction and bidding marketplace serving users in Iraq. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information (required at signup)
- Phone number — used as your account identifier and for OTP verification during signup and password recovery
- Full name
- City, area, and address — used for delivery of auction items you win
- Password — stored securely by Firebase Authentication (Google); we never see or store your password ourselves
Optional information
- Student ID photo — only if you choose to apply for student verification status; reviewed manually by our admin team, and used solely to grant or deny a "Student" badge on your account
- Photos submitted with a return/refund request — used only to evaluate that specific return request
Activity data (generated as you use the App)
- Bids you place, and the auctions you win
- Order history and delivery/payment status
- Return and refund requests you submit
Device and preference data
- Push notification token — generated only if you enable notifications, used to send you bid/auction/order alerts
- Language preference (English, Kurdish Sorani, Kurdish Badini, or Arabic)
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your precise/GPS location. We only ask you to select your city and area from a list.
- We do not collect any payment card details. Mazadxana orders are paid by cash on delivery — we never process, transmit, or store credit/debit card numbers, bank details, or other payment credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Create and secure your account, and verify your identity via OTP
- Process your bids, orders, and deliveries
- Review and process return/refund requests
- Send push notifications about your bidding and order activity (only if enabled)
- Display the App in your preferred language
- Review and approve optional student verification requests
- Respond to support requests and enforce our terms of use
3. How Your Information Is Stored
Your account and activity data is stored using Firebase (a Google service), specifically Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Firebase applies industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and access controls that restrict who can read your data.
4. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the following service providers, solely to operate the App:

Each provider only receives what it needs to perform its specific function and is not authorized to use your data for any other purpose.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, and your order/bid history afterward as a historical record (for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes), even if your account is later deleted.
You can delete your account directly from the App by going to Profile → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account credentials and profile information. Your past bid and order records are kept as anonymized historical records, consistent with standard marketplace record-keeping practices, and are no longer linked to an active account.
6. Your Choices
- You can control push notification permissions at any time through your device settings.
- You can request a copy of your data or request account deletion by contacting us (Section 8).
7. Children's Privacy
Mazadxana is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
